RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CREEKSIDE MARKETPLACE RE-PAVING WORK TO CITY SERVICE CONTRACTING, INC., AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City is required to maintain safe parking lot at Creekside Marketplace as a commercial real estate landlord; and Whereas, City Staff has determined re-paving work is required in various sections of the parking lot of the Creekside Marketplace shopping center to meet safety and accessibility requirements; and Whereas, the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Adopted Annual Operations and Capital Improvement Program Budget includes the re-paving project in the Creekside Marketplace Enterprise fund (601); and Whereas, IDS Real Estate Group, acting in its capacity as the City’s real property management consultant and on the City’s behalf, publicly advertised a Request for Proposal which yielded three responses, and subsequently chose the most qualified and responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, the proposal from City Service Contracting, Inc. has been reviewed by IDS Real Estate Group on behalf of the City and by City staff, and has been determined to meet the needs of the re-paving work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby awards a contract to City Service Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $651,229 for the Creekside Marketplace re-paving project, and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute contract documents.
