RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR EVENT TICKETS PURSUANT TO THE COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY WHEREAS, the Compensation and Reimbursement Policy (“Policy”) of the City of San Marcos (“City”) provides that the City Council may approve payment for or reimbursement of expenses of officials for the performance of official duties; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the events listed below for compliance with the regulations and the Policy,and hereby finds that said events are in compliance therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos finds that the attendance of Councilmember LeBlang, Councilmember Nunez, and Mayor Jones at the EDC Annual Dinner; the attendance of Mayor Jones at the Asian Pacific American Coalition 13th Annual Dinner & Awards; and the attendance of Councilmember Nunez at the League of California Cities Annual Conference are each within the requirements of the policy and regulations, and costs associated with such attendance are hereby approved for payment by the City, inasmuch as attendance is deemed to support and enhance relations with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities in San Diego County, contribute to the City by participation in a statewide municipal conference, and involves significant regional benefit and public purpose.
