RESOLUTION NO. 2025_____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING TWO CONTRACTS FOR CITY FACILITY AND PARK RESTROOM JANITORIAL SERVICES AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACTS WITH CCS FACILITY SERVICES.
Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified janitorial services contractor; and WHEREAS, City staff conducted a Request for Proposals process January through March of 2025, in accordance with San Marcos Municipal Code section 2.30.100; and WHEREAS, the City received proposals from thirteen vendors, which were evaluated on the basis of the criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals, and selected CCS Facility Services as the best qualified and highest-ranked, responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.100, Staff seeks to enter into contracts with CCS Facility Services; and Whereas, staff recommends that City Council approve the award of multi-year contracts for city facility and park restroom janitorial services to CCS Facility Services in an aggregate amount not to exceed $780,000 per year and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize and execute the contract and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of multi-year janitorial service agreements with CCS Facility Services and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contracts and related documents.
