RESOLUTION NO. 2025_____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR AN ANNUAL STORM DRAIN INSPECTION PROGRAM AND AS-NEEDED RELATED SERVICES AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH DOWNSTREAM SERVICES, INC WHEREAS, The City of San Marcos (City) desires to contract with a qualified storm drain inspection and maintenance contractor, and conducted a public Request for Proposals process for that purpose; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the purchasing provisions contained in City’s Municipal Code, specifically Section 2.30.100, Staff seeks to enter into a contract with Downstream Services, Inc. a stormwater and wastewater maintenance service provider; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract for annual storm drain inspection and as-needed related services, in an amount not to exceed $5,000,000 and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents with Downstream Services Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of a multi-year annual storm drain inspection and as-needed related service agreement with Downstream Services, Inc. and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
