CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Jones called the City Council Meeting to order at 3:00 PM.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: JONES, LEBLANG, MUSGROVE, NUÑEZ, SANNELLA ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Chris Freeman, Budget Review Committee Member, spoke in support of publicizing and recording city council workshops similarly as regular meetings.
WORKSHOP – CREEK PLAN VISIONING AND ALTERNATIVES
CITY MANAGER BENDER provided summary of the intent of the workshop and options for consideration.
PLANNING DIRECTOR JOE FARACE AND PRINCIPAL PLANNER SEAN DEL SOLAR provided the report regarding current iteration of the creek plan and changing economic and market environment guiding the alternative project exploration.
CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSION INCLUDED: clarification of current real estate and economic conditions, building types and locations throughout the Creek District, sequencing of public input and workshops, clarification of the flood plain and FEMA challenges on project site development, flood plain mitigation measures, transportation modes and circulation, public parking opportunities, land use alternatives including entertainment venue and arts and culture, design standards, and infrastructure costs.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Jones adjourned the meeting at 5:03 PM.
