RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN MARCOS ADOPTING MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND THE SAN MARCOS CLASSIFIED MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION, THE SAN MARCOS SUPERVISORS’ ASSOCIATION, AND THE SAN MARCOS PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS’ ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, representatives of the San Marcos Classified Miscellaneous Employees’ Association, the San Marcos Supervisors’ Association, and the San Marcos Professional Firefighters’ Association and management have each been conducting negotiations pursuant to the City’s Employer-Employee Organization Relations Resolution for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027; and WHEREAS, Agreements have been reached by and between each of the Associations and management representatives; and WHEREAS, said Agreements were each ratified by the respective Association’s general membership; and WHEREAS, the Associations, together with management representatives, desire to submit their respective agreements to the City Council for approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it to be in the public’s interest to accept such Agreements in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with each respective Association, known as Contract # ________, #__________, and # ________, on file in the office of the City Clerk, and incorporated by reference herein; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby adopt the attached Memorandums of Understanding between the City of San Marcos and the San Marcos Classified Miscellaneous Employees’ Association, between the City of San Marcos and the San Marcos Supervisors’ Association, and between the City of San Marcos and the San Marcos Professional Firefighters’ Association, each of which will be effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027.
