RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT WITH EIDE BAILLY, LLP FOR ACCOUNTING SERVICES NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN (7) YEARS, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO FINALIZE AND EXECUTE THE SAME Whereas, the City must engage an accounting consulting firm to perform various financial responsibilities and support; and WHEREAS, the City publicly solicited proposals for such services on March 28, 2025; and WHEREAS, two (2) proposals were received on April 17, 2025, for accounting services; and Whereas, City staff evaluated the proposals based on criteria in the Request for Proposals and has ranked Eide Bailly, LLP as the best qualified firm to provide such services; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends that City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract with Eide Bailly, LLP for accounting services, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $250,000.00 per year; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the approved Operations & Maintenance Budget to perform the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby awards the consultant services contract to Eide Bailly, LLP, does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a multi-year consultant services contract not to exceed seven (7) years, and further authorizes the City Manager to finalize and execute any amendments or related documents thereto in accordance with SMMC Chapter 2.30.
