RESOLUTION NO. 2025_____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR ASSET MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SERVICES, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT WITH VERTOSOFT.
Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified technology distribution vendor; and WHEREAS, City staff evaluated multiple commercially available asset management software solutions; and WHEREAS, OpenGov was selected as the solution best suited to meet the needs of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.110, staff has recommended that the City enter into a contract with Vertosoft based on a cooperative purchasing based on a competitively solicited procurement process conducted by the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA), a division of OMNIA Partners, under Request for Proposals No. 07-23,as permitted by the purchasing provisions of the San Marcos Municipal Code; and Whereas, staff recommends that City Council approve the award of a multi-year contract for asset management software services to Vertosoft in an amount not to exceed $420,000 and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize and execute the contract and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of a multi-year service agreement with Vertosoft and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
