ORDINANCE NO. 2025-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS NAMING THE COMMUNITY PARK IN THE RESTAURANT ROW DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, City Council Policy #2024-9370, adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 2024-9370, sets forth the procedure for the naming of municipal facilities; and WHEREAS, the intent of that policy is to designate public parks facilities, and other municipal amenities in a systematic fashion which promotes public awareness and use of these facilities; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission, after receiving name recommendations and then creating a sub-committee of the Commission to further review and prioritize those suggested names, discussed the issue at its June 19th, 2024 meeting, and voted to move the four following recommended names forward for Council’s consideration and action: Old California Row Park, Old Row Park, San Marcos Row Park, and Old California Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos, hereby officially designates the community park in the Restaurant Row development area as “_______________________ Park.” PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, this 8th day of July 2025, by the following roll call vote:
