A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE, DELIVERY, AND INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT MULBERRY PARK, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT WITH LANDSCAPE STRUCTURES INC. AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City of San Marcos (City) desires to contract with a qualified playground equipment manufacturer and installer; and WHEREAS, City staff evaluated multiple commercially available playground equipment solutions, including cooperative purchasing procurement; and WHEREAS, Landscape Structures Inc. was selected as the vendor best suited to meet the needs of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the Section 2.30.110 of the San Marcos Municipal Code, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a contract for the purchase, delivery, and installation of playground equipment to Landscape Structures, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $349,000, and that it authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby approves the award of an agreement with Landscape Structures, Inc., and that it hereby delegates to and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute said contract and related documents.
