RESOLUTION NO. 2025_____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR AS NEEDED PUMP AND WELL MAINTENANCE SERVICES AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT WITH BRAX COMPANY, INC.
Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified pump and well services contractor; and WHEREAS, City staff conducted a Request for Proposals process from July through August of 2025, in accordance with San Marcos Municipal Code section 2.30.100; and WHEREAS, the City received proposals from four vendors, which were evaluated on the basis of the criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals, and selected Brax Company, Inc. as the best qualified and highest-ranked, responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.100, staff recommends that City Council approve the award of a five year contract for as needed pump and well maintenance services to Brax Company, Inc in an amount not to exceed $500,000, and that it authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of a five year pump and well maintenance service agreement with Brax Company, Inc, and that it does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contracts and related documents.
