A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR MICROSOFT AZURE CLOUD SERVICES UNDER THE RIVERSIDE MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 8084445 Whereas, the City of San Marcos (City) relies on Microsoft Azure cloud services to provide essential information technology infrastructure and services; and WHEREAS, as permitted by Chapter 2.30 of the San Marcos Municipal Code, the City participates in the Riverside Master Agreement No. 8084445 through a Server and Cloud Enrollment (Enrollment No. 5-0000009929040), executed with CDW Logistics LLC on April 12, 2023; and WHEREAS, the total cost of Azure services has now exceeded the staff approval threshold, requiring City Council authorization; and WHEREAS, funding has already been included in the adopted Fiscal Year 2025–26 Information Technology operating budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby authorize funding in the amount of $178,000 for Fiscal Year 2025–26 for Azure usage under the Riverside Master Agreement No. 8084445 and does hereby designate the City Manager to take all actions and to execute all necessary documents to implement this Resolution.
