RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT TO WEATHERPROOFING TECHNOLOGIES, INC., AN AFFILIATE OF TREMCO INC., FOR ROOF MEMBRANE REHABILITATION AT PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS 1 AND 3, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City of San Marcos desires to contract with a qualified roofing contractor; and WHEREAS, in conformance with Section 2.30.110 of the San Marcos Municipal Code (Cooperative Purchasing, Piggyback Procurement), and as a participating agency of the Omnia Cooperative Purchasing Program, staff evaluated options for the installation of the desired roofing system at Public Works Buildings 1 and 3, located at 201 Mata Way, and determined that Weatherproofing Technologies Inc., an affiliate of Tremco CPG, Inc., represents the most efficient and cost-effective approach; and WHEREAS, staff has recommended that the City Council approve the award of a contract with Weatherproofing Technologies Inc. for the installation of the roofing system in the not to exceed amount of $480,000.00 and that the City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute said contract and any related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos does hereby approve the award of an agreement with Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc,. and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
