RESOLUTION NO. 2026-xxxx
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT OF THE CONTRACT WITH VILLA CIVIL, APC, FOR ON-CALL ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO FINALIZE AND EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos (City) requires as-needed professional engineering support services and, in accordance with City purchasing requirements, may award and amend on-call consultant contracts when such services are determined to be necessary and in the City’s best interest; and WHEREAS, the City previously entered into Contract No. 7400 with Villa Civil, APC, in the amount of $149,700 under the City Manager’s contract authority, and subsequently approved two amendments in the amount of $100,000 each; and WHEREAS, to maintain business continuity and efficiencies in the City’s Development Services engineering operations, City staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 3 to the contract with Villa Civil, APC; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would increase the not-to-exceed amount by $200,000, resulting in a revised contract total of $549,700.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into this Resolution by reference.
Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 7400 with Villa Civil, APC, increasing the not-to-exceed contract amount by $200,000, for a revised contract total of $549,700, and to execute any future amendments within the permissible parameters of San Marcos Municipal Code Chapter 2.30 that do not exceed the authorized contract amount or materially alter the scope of services.
