A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE WOODLAND PARK POOL REPLASTER PROJECT TO COASTAL POOL CONSTRUCTION, INC., AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE, AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City desires to contract with a qualified contractor to perform the Woodland Park Pool Replaster Work, PW IFB CONBID 25-03, for the replastering of the pool surface and tile and coping replacement, including all associated surface preparation, materials, and related improvements (Project); and WHEREAS, in conformance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance Section 2.30.100, bids were solicited for the Project on December 23, 2025, with bid opening held on January 23, 2026; and WHEREAS, the City received bids for the Project from six vendors and Coastal Pools Construction, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a contract to Coastal Pools Construction, Inc., for the Project in an amount not to exceed $357,600.00, and that it authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents with Coastal Pools Construction, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby approves the award of a contract for the Project to Coastal Pools Construction, Inc. and does hereby delegate to and authorize the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, and execute the contract and related documents.
