RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AWARDING A CONTRACT TO MARCO INDUSTRIES, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF ONE TYMCO MODEL 600 STREET SWEEPER, AND DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE, FINALIZE AND EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS Whereas, the City of San Marcos requires street sweeping equipment to maintain City streets, parking lots, and public facilities, and continued growth and development within the City have increased service demands; and WHEREAS, Marco Industries, Inc. is an authorized dealer under Sourcewell Contract No. 111522-TYM, which was competitively solicited and awarded through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program; and Whereas, pursuant to San Marcos Municipal Code Section 2.30.110, the City may utilize cooperative purchasing agreements for the procurement of equipment; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve the award of a contract with Marco Industries, Inc. for the purchase and delivery of one street sweeper in a not-to-exceed amount of $452,228.18.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos approves the award of a contract to Marco Industries, Inc., and authorizes the City Manager or delegated designee to negotiate, finalize and execute said contract and any related documents for the purchase and delivery of one Tymco Model 600 street sweeper from Marco Industries, Inc.
