RESOLUTION NO. 2026 - XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON HOUSING ELEMENT COMPLIANCE IN 2025 WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos (“City”) has a State mandate to meet and maintain specified availability for a range of affordable housing types, including affordable housing; and WHEREAS, on January 10, 2012, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2012-7607 appointing itself as the Successor Housing Agency to the former San Marcos Redevelopment Agency (“Successor Housing Agency”); and WHEREAS, the City desires to comply with California Government Code Section 65400, which mandates that all cities and counties submit an annual progress report on the implementation of its Housing Element, also including compliance with the requirements of California Health & Safety Code Section 34176 as amended by Senate Bill 341, which mandates related successor housing entity reporting in conjunction with the annual progress report; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council:
Approves the Annual Housing Element Progress Report and addendum for 2025. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council on this 24th day of March 2026, by the following roll call vote:
