RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE ADAPTIVE TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM PROJECT (CIP #tr005) Whereas, the Adaptive Traffic Control system Project (CIP #TR005), hereinafter “Project,” was initially funded in the fiscal year 2019-2020; and Whereas, construction costs have increased since the initiation of the Project, and additional funding is required to complete the same; and Whereas, construction documents for the Project have been substantially completed; and Whereas, Staff has received a quote from an on-call contractor qualified to perform the work; and WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the construction of the Project in an expeditious manner; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby:
Approves the construction documents for the Adaptive Traffic Control System Project (CIP #TR005) and authorizes the City Engineer to finalize the same; and Amends the FY 2025-26 Capital Improvement Program Budget to appropriate $450,000 from the Public Facilities Fees Fund (Fund 402) balance through the Circulation/ Streets category to the Adaptive Traffic Control System Project (CIP #TR005).
