RESOLUTION NO. 2026-xxxx
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING THE AMENDMENT OF CONTRACT 6457 WITH DUDEK FOR ON-CALL CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND FIELD SERVICES WHEREAS, proposals were received by the City of San Marcos through the public bid process to provide construction management professional services for the Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, on February 11, 2020, the City Council approved separate local (Contract 6457) and federal (Contract 6317) on-call contracts with a Dudek with a cumulative capacity of $2,500,000 between two contracts for a term not to exceed 5-years; and WHEREAS, on February 9, 2021, the City Council approved an amendment to increase the individual capacity of the local and federal on-call Contract 6457 with Dudek to $2,500,000 for a total capacity of $5,000,000; and WHEREAS, prior amendments have been approved by the City Manager in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance to extend the term of Contract 6457 through March 31, 2027, and to increase the capacity of said Contract by $250,000, for a total of $2,750,000; WHEREAS, the proposed amendment would increase the not-to-exceed amount by $1,000,000, resulting in a revised contract total of $3,750,000 to be utilized on upcoming capital improvement projects and as-needed on private development projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, California does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into this Resolution by reference.
Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 7 to Agreement No. 6457 with Dudek increasing the not-to-exceed contract amount by $1,000,000, for a revised contract total of $3,750,000.
