RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS RATIFYING CERTAIN AGREEMENTS WITH THE TRIDEN GROUP FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CYBERSECURITY SERVICES PROCURED THROUGH COOPERATIVE PURCHASING (PIGGYBACK PROCUREMENT) METHODS PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2.30 OF THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL CODE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE RELATED AMENDMENTS AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City entered into multiple agreements with the Triden Group in connection with the reorganization of the Information Technology Department and associated operational and risk management support needs; and WHEREAS, the agreements were entered into as part of a phased implementation approach supporting continuity of operations, organizational restructuring, and risk mitigation efforts; and WHEREAS, the agreements were procured consistent with Chapter 2.30 of the San Marcos Municipal Code, including Section 2.30.110 relating to Cooperative Purchasing (Piggyback Procurement); and WHEREAS, staff is presenting the cumulative agreements, specifically Agreement numbers 7731, 7766, 7767, 7820, 7838 and 7841, to the City Council for transparency, ratification, and continued administrative authorization due to the aggregate financial impact of the agreements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby ratifies the agreements previously executed with the Triden Group for information technology, operational support, and cybersecurity-related services associated with the Information Technology Department reorganization, and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate, finalize, execute, and administer amendments and related documents associated with the agreements.
