RESOLUTION NO. 2026_____
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID FOR THE BRADLEY PARK SPORTS FIELD LIGHTING REPLACEMENT PROJECT (CIP #PK011) WHEREAS, construction documents have been prepared for the Bradley Park Sports Field Lighting Replacement Project (CIP #PK011, hereinafter “Project”); and WHEREAS, the Project improvements will replace and upgrade the sports field lighting systems serving Lower Fields 3, 4, and 5 at Bradley Park, including removal of existing wood sports-lighting poles and foundations, installation of new steel poles and foundations, reuse of existing steel poles, new LED lighting, electrical improvements, controls, and associated site restoration; and WHEREAS, the City has received $850,000 in Community Project Funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Project; and WHEREAS, the Project will be advertised and administered in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements associated with the Project and its funding source; and WHEREAS, the City desires to proceed to bid for the Project at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby approves the construction documents for the Bradley Park Sports Field Lighting Replacement Project (CIP #PK011), and authorizes the same to be advertised for bids.
