RESOLUTION NO. 2026-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 OPERATING BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE AWARDED 2026 COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO NEIGHBORHOOD REINVESTMENT PROGRAM GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Program Grant through the County of San Diego has awarded the San Marcos Fire Department funding for the Regional Task Force, ensuring that specially trained personnel are supported during disasters and emergencies; and WHEREAS, the approved 2026 Neighborhood Reinvestment Program grant allocation is $70,810 for the City of San Marcos; and WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Program does not require City matching funds, and all grant-related expenditures are post-receipt of the awarded amount; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of San Marcos to participate in this program to enhance emergency and disaster response to the region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council authorizes the appropriation of $70,810 in revenue and $70,810 in expenses, amending the FY 26-27 Operating Budget accordingly, and delegates authority to the City Manager to approve the budget amendments as they relate to the acceptance of such grant funding.
