AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2023 AT 8:30 A.M.
CALL TO ORDER: Vice Mayor Huang called the joint meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Barth Room at Crowell Public Library, located at 1890 Huntington Drive, San Marino, California 91108 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Mayor Huang led the Pledge of Allegiance.

NEW BUSINESS
I. GENERAL DISCUSSION BETWEEN THE RECREATION COMMISSION AND
CITY COUNCIL
1. Recreation Needs Assessment and Program Plan
a. Is there interest in conducting a new recreation needs assessment and program plan? Such a plan could include a community survey, exploration of opportunities for updating the Lacy Park Master plan or recreation uses at other city-owned facilities, the potential for new programming, etc.
2. Expansion of City Recreation Programs Through School District Partnerships a. Is there interest in exploring further partnerships with the San Marino Unified School District to expand the City's recreation program offerings by potentially utilizing School District facilities such as athletic fields, gymnasiums, courts, etc.?
The City Council and Recreation Commission discussed topics relating to items related to the Recreation Commission.
