NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Marino encourages residents to apply for positions on City Commissions, Committees and Boards that will have vacancies in the year 2026.
Each member of a City commission shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
In compliance with the requirements of the Maddy Act, Government Code 54970, the following appointment list is posted on an annual basis by December 31st. It shows all current members of City advisory bodies appointed by the City Council and the dates of their terms of office at the time of this posting. Appointments listed below that are printed in red expire in 2026.

PLANNING COMMISSION 4-year term (Term Limit: Two (2) consecutive terms.) Meets 4th Wednesday of each month, City Hall Council Chamber, 2200 Huntington Drive, San Marino – 6:00 p.m.
The Planning Commission of the city consists of five members and two alternates.
Commissioners shall be charged with such duties and shall be granted such powers as are granted to municipal planning commissions under provision of the laws of the State of California and the San Marino Municipal Code. The Commission is designated as the “advisory agency” of the City as defined in Section 66415 of the Government Code.

DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE 2-year term (Term Limit: Four (4) consecutive terms.) Meets 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, City Hall Council Chambers, 2200 Huntington Drive, San Marino – 6:00 p.m.
The Design Review Committee of the City consists of five members and two alternates. Members of the Design Review Committee shall be charged with the review of additions or alterations to existing residential or commercial structures as set forth in the San Marino Municipal Code.
