Re: Expedited Plan Review Services
Dear Mr. Figueroa:
The Code Group, Inc. (DBA “VCA Code”) is pleased to present this proposed addendum to our current agreement with City of San Marino (“City”) for Expedited Plan Review Services.
Upon written request of the City of San Marino, VCA Code shall perform one of the two expedited plan review options outlined below.
Standard Expedited Service - OPTION ONE: The Building Department, with our plan review consultant, will review the plans in an agreed upon accelerated timeframe based on project scope.
The charge for this expedited service is 200% of the standard plan review rate.
Please note the standard hourly plan review rate may be adjusted for CPI increases by mutual agreement between the City and VCA Code. The turnaround timeframe will begin upon VCA Code’s receipt of the plans and all necessary supporting documentation needed to complete the review.
Applicant Directed Expedited Service - OPTION TWO: The Building Department will refer the applicant to our plan review consultant to agree upon a plan review timeframe based on the project scope. The fees for this special expedited service will be determined between the applicant and the plan review consultant depending on the speed of the turnaround time desired and the complexity of the project to be reviewed. The normal plan review fee will be charged by the City Building Department and retained by the City. The applicant will work directly with the consulting plan review firm for both fee and turnaround timelines. This service is completely optional and designed to address faster turnaround time needs on projects where the applicant finds it to be prudent. This allows the applicant to design their own timeframe such that the control of the plan review speed is controlled by the applicant.
