RESOLUTION NO. R-26-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARINO,
CALIFORNIA ADOPTING THE REVISION TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GRANT (CDBG) ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 AND FISCAL YEAR 2026-27
WHEREAS, the City of San Marino is a participating agency under the County of Los Angeles Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has considered and evaluated projects and programs fulfilling important community needs; and
WHEREAS, the City has a proposed revision to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2025-26 and Fiscal Year 2026-27; and WHEREAS, on July 8, 2026, the City Council has provided the opportunity for public input regarding the City’s Community Development Block Grant Program for the 2025-26 program year and 2026-27 program year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Marino, California hereby:
SECTION 1. Approves the projected use of CDBG funds attached hereto as Exhibit A for Fiscal Year 2025-26 and Fiscal Year 2026-27 and instructs staff to submit the Program Planning Summary for approval to the Los Angeles County Development Authority. (for the proposed ADA compliant Sidewalk Replacement Program in FY 2027-28) SECTION 2. Approves the inclusion of said proposed project(s) in the City of San Marino Fiscal Year 2025-26 and Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget.
SECTION 3. Authorizes staff to adjust the program budget as necessary to take into account the final CDBG allocation from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and any amounts remaining unspent at the close of the fiscal year.
SECTION 4. Authorizes the City Manager to execute all necessary contracts and agreements with the Community Development Commission and with each approved recipient/subrecipient of the program, together with any changes therein which may be approved by the City Manager and, as necessary, by the City Attorney.
