SUBJECT: PROPOSED FALL 2026 CITY TREE REMOVAL LIST FOR REVIEW
BY CITY COUNCIL TREE LIAISON
The Parks & Public Works Department has prepared a Fall 2026 City Tree Review List containing twenty-two (22) City-owned trees for review pursuant to Section 7.2 of the City’s Street Tree Policy. Of the twenty-two (22) trees, twenty-one (21) are recommended for removal based on the applicable removal criteria established in the Policy. One (1) tree previously presented to the City Council during the Summer 2026 tree removal process underwent additional evaluation and is not recommended for removal at this time.
The City’s contracted arborist, Harnisch Tree Care Consulting Arborists, evaluated the trees recommended for removal and determined that each meets one or more of the applicable tree removal criteria established in Section 7.2 of the City’s Street Tree Policy. Additional information regarding the trees is provided in the attached materials, including arborist reports, photographs, location information, and additional evaluation documentation for the trees previously presented during the Summer 2026 tree removal process.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that you review the attached tree removal list and provide any comments to the Department. Following the liaison review, the Department will forward the list to the City Council for consideration as an informational item at its September 9, 2026 meeting.
The Department is available to provide any additional information or documentation necessary to facilitate your review of the recommendations.
