The meeting convened upon the conclusion of the preceding City Council Special Meeting.
CALL TO ORDER – The meeting was called to order at 11:04 p.m.

OLD BUSINESS
1. December 5, 2022 Ceremonial Item 14 – City Council Reorganization CONTINUED Continued Ceremonial item from the December 5, 2022 Regular City Council Meeting, and the adjourned December 7, 2022 Regular City Council Meeting to this Adjourned Meeting on December 12, 2022 to select a Mayor and Deputy Mayor and establish the order of the mayor rotation.
Motion to nominate Amourence Lee as Mayor for 2023. Motion passed 5-0.
Moved: Loraine; Second Lee
Ayes: Lorraine, Lee, Diaz Nash, Newsom, and Hedges Noes: None
Motion to nominate Lisa Diaz Nash as Deputy Mayor for 2023. Motion passed 5-0.
Moved: Hedges; Second Lee
Ayes: Hedges, Lee, Loraine, Diaz Nash, and Newsom Noes: None
Upon discussion it was decided to include all three members Loraine, Newsom and Hedges in the drawing of lots to determine the order of the mayoral rotation. The sequence is established as Newsom, Loraine, and then Hedges.
Mayor Lee provided remarks.
