The Council accepted staff recommendations on changes to density in certain land use designations and offered support for work suggested on census track alignment for the Equity Priority Community designations.

The Council offered support for proposed Policy PSF 5.12 on City Property Acquisition and LU 3.12 on integration of private and publicly accessible spaces.

The Council deliberated on High 1 or High 2 land use designation and ballot measure possibilities and challenges and doing higher density with commensurate community benefits. Additional questions of staff and discussion ensued on if High 2 should be listed on the land use map in already designated areas where additional height could be allowed.

The City Manager clarified that there are areas that have been specified in the General Plan process that could accommodate additional heights. Discussion ensued on whether within .25 mile of train stations provides a policy for additional height and density. How to define what triggers allowed extra height in a High 1.
