BACKGROUND:
The SEIU Library Merit Unit represents approximately 23 employees. The contract with this bargaining unit expired on March 4, 2023. Negotiations with SEIU concluded on October 25, 2023, and the membership subsequently ratified the proposed changes to their Memorandum of Understanding.

Term: The contract will be for a period of three years, expiring on June 21, 2026.
Salary: The bargaining unit will receive a 4.0% salary increase effective July 9, 2023 and additional 2.0% increase for Librarian I/II series for recruitment and retention efforts effective July 9, 2023, a 3.0% increase effective June 23, 2024, and a 3.0% salary increase effective June 22, 2025.
