RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2024)
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE OWNER’S STATEMENT ON THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
FINAL PARCEL MAP
WHEREAS the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrade and Expansion Project (Project) will result in a new treatment plant for processing wastewater; and
WHEREAS, the Special Use Permit, Site Plan and Architectural Review (SPAR), and Tentative Parcel Map for the Project as submitted in the Planning Application PA #17-075 was approved by City Council on July 16, 2018; and
WHEREAS modifications to the previously approved Project were approved by the City Council on April 15, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the approved Project has been under construction since May 2019 and is anticipated to be completed in early 2025: and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the Final Conditions of Approval (COAs), the Subdivision Map Act, and the San Mateo Municipal Code Section 26.56, the City prepared a Final Parcel Map No. 474 based on the previously approved Tentative Parcel Map; and
WHEREAS, all the conditions required for the Final Parcel Map approval have been satisfied; and
WHEREAS, Final Parcel Map No. 474 has been approved by the Department of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. The City prepared a Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (Final PEIR) in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (SCH No. 2015032006). On June 6, 2016, the City Council certified the PEIR. In accordance with CEQA, the Final PEIR serves as the primary environmental compliance document for the implementation of the Clean Water Program. The City prepared an Addendum to the Final PEIR that was approved on July 16, 2018 (Addendum 1) and April 15, 2019 (Addendum 2). This work is within the scope of the Project evaluated in the PEIR and Addendum.
2. The Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the Owner’s Statement in the Final Parcel Map No. 474 prior to recording the map with the County of San Mateo Recorder’s Office, and to take any other action necessary to accomplish the intent of this resolution.
