RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2024)
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO SUPPORT BALLOT MEASURE AND COMMUNITY
SURVEYS
WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to prepare to place various ballot measures on the November 2024 ballot to support the General Plan Update and other City business and to regularly survey the community (“Project”); and
WHEREAS, True North Research has successfully completed surveys for the City in the past; and WHEREAS, the City issued an Request for Proposals for community survey services, and staff recommends proceeding with True North Research to complete surveys in support of the Project; and WHEREAS, funding is needed to complete the work on the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. This Project is not a project subject to CEQA because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not impact the environment (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5)).
2. The appropriation of $57,100, with $42,800 from the General Fund and $14,300 from the Advanced Planning Fund (Fund 225) to the City Manager’s Office 2023-24 operating budget for the Project is approved.
3. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with True North Research in substantially the form presented.
