STUDY SESSION1. City Council Governance WorkshopJan Perkins and Susan Healy Keen of Raftelis facilitated a City Council Governance workshop with the purpose of creating a consensus on a Code of Conduct to be brought before the City Council for adoption at a future regular city council meeting.City Manager Khojikian spoke on the need for respect, civility, and decorum and importance of serving the community of San Mateo. Jan Perkins provided a summary of Best Governance Practices as identified by the Institute for Local Government. The council provided direction on a Code of Conduct for future adoption. The council also directed that staff coordinate a future check-in on the effectiveness of this new Code of Conduct in early 2025.
