2024-2025 School Crossing Guards – Agreement
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve an agreement with the San Mateo-Foster City School District for school crossing guards in the amount not to exceed $78,000.00 and authorize Chief of Police Ed Barberini to execute the agreement in substantially the form presented.
BACKGROUND:
This is the annual agreement between the City of San Mateo and the San Mateo-Foster City School District to provide protection for school children, who are required to cross heavily traveled streets in the City. The streets are listed on Exhibit A.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Police Department has budgeted for this agreement in the proposed 2024-2025 budget.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This agreement is not a project subject to CEQA, because it can be seen with certainty that it will not cause a physical change in the environment. (Public Resources Code Section 21065.)
NOTICE PROVIDED
