Park and Recreation Commission Appointment Subcommittee – Appointment Recommendation RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Sabrina Ocampo to the Park and Recreation Commission for a partial term through June 10, 2025 and place John Medina on an eligibility list for six months, should another vacancy on the commission occur.
BACKGROUND:
On Monday, July 8, 2024, the Appointment Subcommittee to the Park and Recreation Commission, consisting of Mayor Lisa Diaz Nash, Deputy Mayor Rob Newsom, Jr, and Council Member Lee, with Park and Recreation Director Joanne Magrini advising, interviewed applicants to fill a vacancy on the Park and Recreation Commission.
The Appointment Subcommittee interviewed the following applicants:

•Sabrina Ocampo
•Vince Kurr
•Mike Etheridge
•Dianne Whitaker
•Robina Sigh
•John Medina
•Michael Maslakowski
•Kevin Wilkinson
The Appointment Subcommittee recommends the following actions:

Sabrina Ocampo be appointed to a partial term Immediate through June, 10, 2025 John Medina be placed on an eligibility list Immediate through January 15, 2025 BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budgetary impact associated with this administrative action ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
