NEW BUSINESS
1. Park and Recreation Commissioner – Interviews
The Appointment Subcommittee for the Park and Recreation Commission, comprised of Mayor Lisa Diaz Nash, Deputy Mayor Rob Newsom Jr., Council Member Amourence Lee with Park and Recreation Director Joanne Magrini advising will interview the following applicants to fill one vacant seat on the commission and to establish an eligibility list for a future vacancy: Amy Jussel, Sabrina Ocampo, Vince Kurr, Amarilis San Vicente, Mike Etheridge, Dianne Whitaker, Robina Singh, John Medina, Michael Maslakowski Elizabeth Kioa, Kevin Wilkinson, John Ulrich
Public Comment: There was no public comment.
Following the interviews, the appointment subcommittee deliberated. A consensus direction was provided to recommend to the City Council that Sabrina Ocampo be appointed to the Park and Recreation Commission for a partial term through June 10, 2025 and place John Medina on an eligibility list for six months, should another vacancy on the commission occur.
