CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2024)
APPROPRIATE $293,103 FROM NEW PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION ENTITLEMENT FUNDS INTO OPERATING BUDGET FOR 2024-25
WHEREAS, Section 5.13(a) of the City Charter requires Council approval by resolution for supplemental appropriations to the City’s budget; and
WHEREAS, The California Department of Housing and Community Development has made available $293,103 in the Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Fund to be used to increase housing affordability.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. In accordance California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines section 15378(b)(4), an appropriation is not a project subject to CEQA because it is a government fiscal activity which does not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
2. A budget appropriation from the Permanent Local Housing Allocation Grant entitlement fund to the PLHA Fund operating budget for fiscal year 2024-25 is approved in the amount of $293,103.
