CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2024)
APPROVING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE 2024-25 BUDGET WHEREAS, the Police Department wishes to amend the agreement with LAZ Parking for Citywide parking enforcement services to extend the term and increase wages paid for parking enforcement officers; and WHEREAS, approval of Amendment No. 2 to the agreement will result in costs in excess of what was budgeted and an amendment to the Police Department’s 2024-25 budget will be necessary to fund this expense; and
WHEREAS, Section 5.13(a) of the City Charter requires City Council approval by resolution for supplemental appropriations to the City’s budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. This action is not a project subject to CEQA, because it can be seen with certainty that it will not cause a physical change in the environment (Public Resources Code Section 21065)
2. A supplemental budget appropriation for fiscal year 2024-25 is approved in the amount of $55,000 for the Police Department.
