Senior Advisory Commission - Ordinance Adoption
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt an Ordinance to amend San Mateo Municipal Code Chapter 2.29 “Senior Citizens Commission” to change its name to “Senior Advisory Commission” and make other miscellaneous revisions.
BACKGROUND:
On November 18, 2024, the City Council introduced an Ordinance to amend San Mateo Municipal Code Chapter 2.29 “Senior Citizens Commission” to change its name to “Senior Advisory Commission” and make other miscellaneous revisions. The proposed Ordinance is attached. If adopted, the Ordinance will become effective 30 days after its adoption.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budget impact associated with this administrative action.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This Ordinance adoption is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
