City Council Appointments to External Agencies and Liaison Roles — Approval RECOMMENDATION:
Review and provide direction on the 2025 appointments to external agencies, organizations, and liaison roles; consider and approve the final appointments and liaisons list.
BACKGROUND:
On December 12, 2024, the City Clerk distributed a poll to each Council Member requesting their individual input on priority interests for the various available appointments. Per the established Council Rules and Procedures, Council Members returned their completed polls directly to the City Clerk. The City Clerk compiled the responses into a consolidated spreadsheet, which was provided to the Mayor. Using this information, the Mayor reviewed and balanced the proposed assignments to ensure alignment with the Council's goals and responsibilities. The Mayor's recommendations for appointments will be presented during this discussion item, providing the Council with an opportunity to review, discuss, and approve the final assignments.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budgetary impact associated with this administrative action.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This appointment review is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
