STUDY SESSION

2. 2025 Community Survey Results
Christina Horrisberger, Assistant City Manager, gave an informational report about the results of the City' s Community Survey, conducted in February 2025 by True North Research.

Public Comment:

Seema Patel: City walkability is a positive, more bike lanes, north central complete streets plan.

Jordan Grimes: Great report card, agree with majority of San Mateans, lucky to live here. Affordable housing biggest challenge. Comment at this venue can be unrepresentative of community at large. Do have flexibility to encourage affordable housing.

Max Mautner: Safer bike infrastructure – inexpensive to live in the City without a car. Saved money.

Mike Swire: Bike safety, plurality support additional bike lanes. Only segment who opposed the removal of bike lanes were residents.

Council asked questions and made comments.
