PUBLIC COMMENT
Michael Seville expressed concern about the San Mateo Golf Course VIP reservation system. Mike Swire commented on the meeting held a few weeks ago and encouraged the City to submit a letter to SMCTA and CCAG and share the concern of eminent domain and that the project was not a good use of funds and would not address the congestion problem. He suggested looking at transit, bike and pedestrian issues to get more people through without widening of Highway 101. He stated that he does not agree that the bike lanes should be removed as they are important for safety.
Deborah Rosenfield would like the Cal Train quiet zone meeting moved up and concerned about safe routes to school improvements which could cause more safety issues if lanes are reduced causing bottlenecks and safety hazards for drivers and bikers and pedestrians. She requested that a meeting be held to include all the large apartment and condo complexes in the Delaware area so that they may give their input on the matter.
The City Manager addressed a couple of the items. He has asked the Parks and Recreation Director to look into updating the VIP program once the Poplar Creek restaurant is done remodeling. The City is currently conducting circulation surveys with regard to street closures.
