CALL TO ORDER at 6: 00 p. m.
Roll Call
Present: Mayor Newsom, Deputy Mayor Loraine, Council Members: Fernandez and Cwirko- Godycki AB 2449 Requests and Considerations for Meeting Participation by Teleconference due to Just Cause or Emergency Circumstances – there were no requests.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Planning Commissioner – Interview
The Appointment Subcommittee for the Planning Commission, comprised of Mayor Robert Newsom Jr., Deputy Mayor Adam Loraine, Councilmember Danielle Cwirko- Godycki, and Councilmember Nicole Fernandez, with Community Development Director, Zachary Dahl advising interviewed the following applicants to fill two seats on the commission and the establish an eligibility list for a future vacancy.

Public Comment: Dave Cohen urged the appointment subcommittee to consider ethical standards when selecting their recommended candidate for appointment. Michael Ragan and Tom Lease commented on the strong applicant pool for potential selection.
The appointment subcommittee deliberated and concluded with the following recommendations: Maxwell Schaumkel and Caiti Busch appointed to a full term from June 10, 2025, through June 10, 2029, and Lisa Maley and John Lovell be placed on a six- month eligibility list.
