Agreement with Samaritan House to Provide Services to Operate the Worker Resource Center Project Worker Resource Center (WRC)

Project Description Samaritan House is the operator of the Worker Resource Center (WRC), which matches job seekers with job providers in a location leased by the City at 171 N.
Amphlett Blvd. in San Mateo.
The WRC is open generally in the early mornings to midday, Mondays through Saturdays, during peak periods of casual labor work solicitations. The WRC employs 2.4 FTE, and staff perform intake and assessment of both workers and employers and use a lottery system to match workers with job providers. The WRC provides meals, job application assistance, ESL classes and referrals to other Samaritan House programs to meet additional client needs.
Term Three-year operations agreement: July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028, or as determined by the City Council
Agreement Amount $195,000 annually
Other Terms - Lease City will enter into a separate lease agreement for the space at 171 N. Amphlett Blvd. or as approved by the City Council at a later date.
