2025-2026 School Crossing Guards — Agreement
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve an agreement with the San Mateo-Foster City School District for school crossing guards in an amount not to exceed $78,000.00 and authorize the Chief of Police to execute the agreement in substantially the form presented.
BACKGROUND:
This is the annual agreement between the City of San Mateo and the San Mateo-Foster City School District to provide protection for school children, who are required to cross heavily traveled streets in the City. The streets are listed on Exhibit A.
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funding for this agreement is included in the Police Department’s proposed 2025-2026 operating budget.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This agreement is not a project subject to CEQA, because it can be seen with certainty that it will not cause a physical change in the environment. (Public Resources Code Section 21065.)
NOTICE PROVIDED
