San Mateo County Measure K Grant — Agreement
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Measure K grant agreement with San Mateo County in an amount not to exceed $25,000 and authorize Finance Director to execute the agreement in substantially the form presented.
BACKGROUND:
The 2025 San Mateo County Pride Celebration Event and the associated parade at Central Park are scheduled for June 14, 2025. The special events committee is working with organizers to plan for this year’s event. A significant amount of staff time is involved with planning and implementation of the route as well as set up and removal of the parade barriers. The County of San Mateo has generously offered a grant, not to exceed $25,000, to pay for the City special event costs incurred from the 2025 Pride Celebration.
BUDGET IMPACT:
No fiscal impact is expected from the 2025 Pride Celebration Event since the County of San Mateo Measure K grant funds will reimburse the City for costs incurred as part of the special event up to $25,000.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This Measure K Grant Agreement with San Mateo County is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is a government fiscal activity which does not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4).)
NOTICE PROVIDED
