City Council Appointments to External Agencies and Liaison Roles — Approval RECOMMENDATION:
Review and adopt the proposed 2026 list of City Council appointments to external agencies, organizations, and liaison roles.
BACKGROUND:
On December 3, 2025, the City Clerk distributed a poll to Council Members to solicit input on priority interests for the available appointments. In accordance with the Council Rules and Procedures, Council Members returned their completed polls directly to the City Clerk. The City Clerk compiled the responses into a consolidated spreadsheet and transmitted it to the Mayor. The Mayor reviewed the information and developed proposed assignments to ensure an equitable distribution of responsibilities and alignment with Council priorities. The Mayor’s recommended appointments will be presented for Council consideration as part of this discussion item.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budgetary impact associated with this administrative action.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This appointment review is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
