4 CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ___ (2026)
REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE CITY-WIDE TREE PLANTING PROJECT WHEREAS, bids were received for planting approximately 250 trees at various locations throughout the City for the City-Wide Tree Planting Project (“Project”); and WHEREAS, the City received three bids on November 14, 2025; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the rejection of all bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. This bid rejection is not a project subject to CEQA because CEQA does not apply to projects that are disapproved. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15270).
2. In accordance with the provisions of San Mateo Municipal Code Section 3.60.040(a)(4), all bids received on November 14, 2025 for the Project are rejected.
