Subject: SamTrans bus stop rehab/upgrades...
All: The SamTrans bus stops have become a bit of a blight on the east side, in various stages of run down aesthetics and disrepair, requiring immediate and thorough attention as well as upgrading for inclement weather as this boulevard project proceeds.
As one who rents rooms to travel RNs who come to San Mateo to help out staffing in overburdened hospitals, one of the first 'asks' is about SM public transit and I sadly have to reply that it's limited in terms of accessibility and antiquated on the east side where I reside.
Please consider adding this to your discussions with SamTrans this evening as it's not just the El Camino corridor GBI that needs upgrading, attention, and TLC.
Appreciatively,
Amy Jussel Bedard, District 4
