Park and Recreation Commission Appointment Subcommittee — Appointment Recommendation RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Maya Rae Osinki to the Park and Recreation Commission as a Youth Commissioner for a full term from March 2, 2026, through March 2, 2027, and place Nathaniel Brice Wilson on a six-month eligibility list, should a vacancy occur.
BACKGROUND:
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Appointment Subcommittee to the Park and Recreation Commission, consisting of Mayor Loraine, Council Member Cwirko-Godycki, and Council Member Newsom, with Parks and Recreation Director Joanne Magrini, interviewed applicants to fill a vacancy for a Youth Commission position on the Park and Recreation Commission.
The Appointment Subcommittee interviewed the following applicants:

Jaiveer M.
Maya O.
Nathaniel W.
Olivia E.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budgetary impact from this administrative action.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION:
This appointment recommendation is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
